Paducah Public Schools GESC – Phase II
Brief Description
This ambitious project took on the challenge of completing a comprehensive HVAC renovation at Paducah Tilghman High School over summer break, Ascendant Facility Partners successfully navigating unprecedented manpower and supply chain challenges due to lingering effects from the pandemic to complete the project.
With the renovation serving as the cornerstone, we complemented the project by installing new LED lighting and HVAC controls at all facilities, drastically improving the indoor learning environment across the district.
In addition, targeted energy and operational savings efforts were taken in the areas of thermal envelope improvements, water conservation measures, domestic water heating upgrades, kitchen equipment, controls improvements, and targeted improvements to specialized operations at the Maintenance Annex and the Bus Garage.
Outcomes
Despite the obstacles, the HVAC renovation at Tilghman was completed on-time and in-budget- allowing classes to resume in the Fall Term with the benefit of an improved indoor environment.
Positive and consistent improvements are both seen and felt at all district facilities, exemplifying the comprehensive and synergistic improvements made which will benefit the district for decades to come.
